R.i.p. stuart 'pepi' winder
The BMX world sadly lost a UK legend last week. Stuart 'Pepi' Winder passed away last Wednesday. Pepi was one of the first UK all round, top BMX Freestyle Pros of the 1980's riding for Skyway and Vincent back in the day. He ruled the BMX Beat Comps, UKBFA comps and more recently competing in the Backyard Jams. Pepi rode to the tilt for over a quarter of a century in BMX and will be sadly mised by us all. Rest In Peace Pepi.

Joe, Ruben, Chase and the whole FOX TEAM are on a week long tour of the East Coast, stopping at some legendary spots and doing demos at Local Parks. Some photos from the skate comp at the ramp on Saturday. It went off! Adam Young won despite being rat arsed and jumping the box hammered on Lone Star, closely followed by Shawn Rylander and Bryan Rogers. It was a blast. Just a warm up for next weeks leg of the comp series in San Antonio, should be pretty sweet!

Grounded premiere photos
Just getting back to normal around here after the video premieres in Lake Forest and Austin. The video was bangin and got some amazing response not surprisingly. Mike Manzoori did an incredible job editing it. The full length DVD should be available early June. We just saw a preview of the bonus DVD footage (theres 2 hours of bonus in all) with documentaries, retro footage from some fo the Etnies Veterans, and don't forgot, there's a book coming with it as well! I dug these bad boys out the archives today from The Superdome. The Superwhat? Isn't that a football stadium? Nah, it was one of THE original BMX houses in Bethlehem, PA around '95-'98 before some of you youngsters' time. Joe, Taj, Mel Cody, Luc-E and Myself were the original clowns living there. Mel and our buddies had a Misfits cover band-'The Bloodsuckers', who rehearsed in our front room and played gigs in our basement all the time. Etnies have announced the premiere date for the new dvd 'grounded'. It's on May 18th at the Sole Technology HQ in Lake Forest, CA. Copies of the DVD will be available on the night. if you haven't seen any trailers for this monster, then got here. It's looking mental !!! red bull gives you balls!
It looks like half of the T1 team will be participating in Red Bull's first ever BMX slalomstyle contest -'The Empire Of Dirt. It's going down this summer on June 15-16th in Devon, UK. Taj, Joe, Garrett and possibly Ruben will be attending out of the 35 worldwide invites, you lucky sods! Check the Myspace page for wild photos of this downhill course, of course!

Ruben the Cuban sent us over this photo of his average day in Malaga.In his own phonix "this is in my garage coming from Marbella .. was waves that day in the morning and after that I went to this new race track very close to the bmx trails so you can do all in one day . Only shit!.. no bad eh?" It's a Hard Life, Ruben! 20TwentyBMX in Scotland are having a local video Premiere on Monday Sponsored by Buckfast tonic wine. Aberdeen is also getting a pure quality Skatepark as well, opening in April/May. A big English PRO Bmx turnout is expected but they will probably shite it at the last minute.
